Equine osteopathy is an art and a science derived from human osteopathy, modified to meet the specific biomechanics and needs of the horse. It is a manual therapy, taking a whole horse perspective by mobilizing and making connections between the musculoskeletal system, cranial sacral system, and visceral system. I make my connections by having an expansive understanding of the biomechanics, neurology, and circulatory system of the horse. The goal of osteopathy is to identify the root of the issue which is often times an immobility or something causing an immobility in the body. Osteopathy helps restore mobility, increase vitality and circulation, and enhances overall performance.
